SGCC Completed its Supervision over CEPRI’s National Key R&D Project

On August 30, a supervision conference for the special national key R&D project on smart grid technology and equipment, the project “Research and Application of Key Technology for Intelligent Dispatching and Security Early-warning of Bulk Power Grid”, led by CEPRI, was held in Nanjing. The attendees included the leaders and experts of the Science & Technology Department and the National Power Dispatching and Control Center of SGCC and other project undertakers.

The supervision team conducted rigorous assessment and inquiry on the organization & management, technical progress, phased results, and financial status of the project and its subjects. It was agreed that the project was appropriately implemented as scheduled, with the technical route being in accordance with the task specification and the phased assessment indicators being all reached.

The project, following the vision of “one power grid, one set of model and one set of system”, aims to build a technical supporting system for dispatching & control applicable to distributed monitoring and whole-grid unified analysis and decision-making of large-scale AC/DC hybrid power grids. After its completion, dispatching & control centers will not conduct analysis and decision-making in their own way, instead, lean decision-making in dispatching & control within the whole grid will be realized, which will allow better prefiguration, pre-judgment and pre-control and better intellectualization in bulk power grid dispatching and realize "automatic navigation" for optimized grid operation and "smart decision-making" for security risk prevention and control.
